hey, just wondering if anyone minds giving me some advice, i was thinking about putting on some weight and getting stronger using rippetoes SS program but was wondering, should i do that or hit the strength wods harder than the wod on the day given? im really looking to get stronger and a bit bigger.

Kris, If you want to gain strength and size, follow a strength cycle. It is ok for your metabolic conditioning to suffer a bit. I recommend enjoying the process of getting bigger. Eat a lot, drink a lot of milk and lift heavy.

thanks Marshall i’ve been really on the fence about this for the last week and i appreciate the advice. I’m gonna start the SS program in march, the guy i crossfit is goin to the navy so i figure i’d CF with him then do this for i dont kno how long maybe a month or two, never done anythin besides wrestle for a year and then crossfit for almost a year, so this will be different for me.
